Post-covid syndrome – what to do? Cardiologist's advice. 1 part
Post updated: July 18
The coronavirus infection that has taken over the whole world has put humanity in front of a new problem – post-covid syndrome, or longcovid. More and more people who have been ill with COVID-19 complain of long-term symptoms that persist for weeks and even months after the disease. And if at the beginning of the pandemic, doctors spoke with caution about this condition in some patients, now this topic is increasingly being raised in medical and scientific circles.
To date, there are not so many studies, publications, protocols for the management of patients with postcovid syndrome. What to do with such patients?
Maria Sergeevna Cherskaya, a practicing cardiologist, therapist, Candidate of Medical Sciences, head of the consultative and diagnostic Department, V.P. Komisarenko Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism of NAMNU, will tell about this in her lecture
In the first (introductory) part of the lecture, you will learn about the pathophysiology and classification of COVID-19, analyze the main clinical manifestations of the disease and criteria for assessing the severity of infection, consider in detail the main recommendations for the treatment of COVID-19 in adults.
This lecture will be of interest, first of all, to family doctors, internists, cardiologists and doctors of a wide range of specialties.
